Girard Perregaux have expanded their stunning Tourbillon collection with their new timepiece, ‘Gold Bridge’.
The Cat’s Eye Tourbillon with Gold Bridge is a marriage between watchmaking and jewellery – the concept of a complicated horological movement in an elegant and feminine design. There is no doubt that the oval case adorned with 308 diamonds is eye catching and the mother of pearl dial provides an extra touch of grace to the already stunning watch.
At the heart of the timepiece is the iconic Girard Perregaux Tourbillion which sits proud at the 6 0’clock under a Gold Bridge. Comprised of 174 parts, the manual wind movement has a 70 hour power reserve and is assembled by hand.
Whilst most tourbillon’s are designed towards men, it is refreshing to see a watch house demonstrate just how to combine such an intricate movement with raw femininity and who better than Girard Perregaux – a pioneer of mechanical watches for women in mind.
