Usain Bolt, the world’s fastest man, sprinted into Hublots London boutique last week. He was welcomed by the UK brand director, Benoît Lecigne, with a gift of a Big Bang Gold 40cm wall clock in honour of the three gold medals that he won at the 2015 IAAF World Championships in Beijing where the athlete also celebrated his 29th birthday with the luxury brand. Hublot combined two very special occasions, in Beijing, by presenting Bolt with a cake of the Big Bang 10 years logo which also celebrated the 10th anniversary of Hublots iconic Big Bang.
Usain Bolt said: “As a sprint, for me, it is all about time. And HUBLOT is one of the most prestigious watchmaker in the world. The value of ‘be the first, be the different and unique’ echoes perfectly with my belief. I’m also very happy to be back in Beijing and to have HUBLOT witness another personal breakthrough of mine.”
He has been an ambassador for the luxury watch brand, Hublot, since 2010. To celebrate this association, Hublot released the King Power Usain Bolt watch in 2012. Bolt was also present last year at the brands London boutique when they unveiled their first collection of watches exclusively made for and only available from their boutiques worldwide.
Usain Bolt, 29, from Jamaica has won the most medals in the history of the IAAF World Championships, and is the first male athlete in history to win both the 100m and 200m races as well as the 4 x 100m together with his team, during a number of huge international competitions. His achievements in sprinting have inspired his media nickname "Lightning Bolt".
