Patek Philippe Very Rare Nautilus Gents Wristwatch Platinum Blue Dial 3800/1P
A Very Rare Platinum Nautilus Gents Wristwatch, blue dial with applied index batons, date at 3 0'clock, a platinum fixed bezel, a platinum bracelet with a platinum deployant clasp, sapphire glass, automatic movement, in excellent condition, comes with an original Patek Philippe box and an Extract from the Archives confirming the original date of sale as November 1985.
N.B. The Nautilus 3800 was manufactured between 1981 and 2006, with only a small amount made in platinum until 2002, making it a very rare and sought after watch. This particular piece is even rarer, as it is first series watch, confirmed by the calibre number and single deployant clasp. To find this watch in such condition, is truly extraordianary and would make an excellent addition to any collection.
The 3800 Nautilus was made in 4 series:
1st Series: until 1988: calibre 335SC starting with approximately movement no. 1’420’000, featuring 28’800 oscillations per minute, 3,35 mm thickness, 29 jewels.
2nd Series: until 1992: calibre 335SC featuring an improved date corrector system starting with approximately movement no. 1’426’600, 28’800 oscillations per minute, 3,35 mm thickness, 29 jewels
3rd Series: until 1997: calibre 330 134 (330 SC) starting with approximately movement no. 1’930’000, 28’800 oscillations per minute, 3,35 mm thickness, 29 jewels
4th Series: until 2006: calibre 330 194 (330 SC) starting with approximately movement no. 3’020’000, 21’600 oscilliations per minute, 3,35 mm thickness, only the first pieces produced featured 29 jewels, most of them counted 30 jewels
