Dial: The beautiful perfect condition white enamel dial with Arabic numerals outer minute track with five second Arabic indices, the subsidiary seconds dial at six o'clock and the minute subsidiary recorder dial at twelve o'clock. The superb original rose gold Louis XIV style hands with matching sub seconds hand. The original blued steel split seconds hands with matching minute recorder hand.

Case: The excellent heavy 18ct rose gold case with plain back, with the inner cover also plain. The cases are all signed, Swiss Hallmarked and numbered. The split seconds operates by depressing the winder and then to split the second press the button down at eleven oclock.

Movement: The movement is truly amazing with a nickel finished movement, highly polished chronograph steel work to the top plate, fully jewelled to the centre abor, compensation balance micrometer regulation and blued steel overcoiled hairspring. The movement is fully signed Audemars Piguet and numbered.

This pocket watch is a truly exceptional piece of Swiss craftsmanship of the highest quality. This Split Second Rattrapante has the added benefit of an Extract of Archives from Audemars Piguet showing that the watch was sold in New York in September 1891.
