A rare antique 1870 open face pocket watch in yellow gold by Barraud & Lunds. Features a white enamel dial with Roman numerals, gilt spade hands and a small seconds display at 6 o'clock.
Fitted with mineral glass and a 3/4 plate manual wind movement that lays beneath the inner cuvette case. The rarity of this timepiece lies in the fact that the winder detaches from the case and is used as a key to wind the movement as well as to set the hands. A patent (No.914) was taken out by J.A Lund in March 1870.
In excellent condition, comes with our presentation box, one year warranty and guaranteed authenticity.
