A limited edition Reverso Grande in rose gold from Jaeger LeCoultre. Starting in 2000, Jaeger started to collaborate with Portuguese artists with the aim of turning timepieces into timeless pieces of art. The initiative was started by Pedro Torres, founder of Torres Distribucao which represents JLC in Portugal.
Limited to just 20 pieces, this model is the 6th edition by multimedia artist Juliao Sarmento who calls this his "personal view of time." This is his take on the representation of the female body, (something he has used for previous work) and how they're a proponent attached to the idea of perpetual time. In his own words, "It refers to the space in which the woman moves, the space she fills and the indeterminate time in which she is found. It is not fleeting time, it is perpetual time."
Featuring a black dial with small seconds and the reverse side which features an enamel image of a woman's silhouette. The original black leather strap comes equipped with a rose gold double deployant clasp. Fitted with sapphire crystal and a manual wind movement.
A silkscreen print hand signed by Sarmento, a Jaeger LeCoultre box and undated papers come with the watch which is in excellent condition.
