Omega very rare 18ct gold open face pocket watch celebrating the Schutzenfest in Bern, C1910.

Dial: The perfect white enamel dial with Arabic numerals in black with outer minute track and then Arabic numerals in red on the inner dial for the twenty four hours. The subsidiary seconds dial is at six o clock. The original matching spade hands are in gold.

Case: The 18ct Rose and Yellow gold case with the back of the watch having a high relief of a Berne's woman with traditional headdress and engraved 1910 Bern. The inner cuvette has the inscription Eidgenössisches Schützenfest Bern 1910 which translates to Federal Shooting Festival.

Movement: The fully jewelled keyless lever Lepine caliber movement with screwed in chatons to the centre arbor signed Omega and numbered with compensated balance and micrometer regulation.

This is a truly an exceptional watch with it's original box, original papers and an extract from Omega. It is reputed that Omega made 175 pieces for this festival. This would make a truly magnificent addition to one's collection.
