An unworn stainless steel Deepsea Sea-Dweller from Rolex, featuring a D-Blue dial covered by domed sapphire crystal. The ceramic unidirectional rotatable bezel has 60-minute graduations coated in platinum. Features an Oyster bracelet equipped with an Oysterlock deployant clasp. Fitted with a helium escape valve and a self-winding automatic movement.
The watch comes with most of the factory stickers still attached and complete with a Rolex box and warranty card dated December 2017, ensuring it's covered until December 2022.
This D-Blue was produced to commemorate film director James Cameron's dive into the Mariana Trench in 2012 – the deepest point in the world. One of the most prominent features of the Rolex Deepsea D-Blue is the colour gradient of the dial – gradually turning from blue to black, symbolising Cameron’s dive into the unknown. In order to handle the pressures of the ocean, this timepiece is supported by the Rolex Ringlock system which ensures it is pressure resistant up to 12,800ft/3,900m. The special Rolex patented helium escape valve is fitted with a spring to allow the gas to escape quickly without compromising the timekeeping and water resistance of the watch.
