James Squire. A Rose Gold Keywind Fussee Lever Pocket Watch C1816.

Dial: The 18ct solid gold dial with Roman Numerals engine turned centre and blued steel spade hands with the winding hole by twelve o'clock.

Case: The English Hallmarked solid rose gold consular case with engine turning to the back of the case. The front bezel opens to get access to the keywind movement. The case maker is James Norville who worked in Clerkenwell.

Movement: The English keywind lever fully signed and numbered full plate movement with slow fast regulation. The watch is in perfect working order and it keeps excellent time considering that the watch is over 200 years old.

James Squire was a rural watchmaker recorded as working in Kendal Lancashire in the 1800s.
