JAY-Z NEW RELEASE SHAWN CARTER BY HUBLOT

Some of you may know that Shawn Carter aka Jay Z’s Hublot of choice is the understated Classic Fusion. The intricate dial features a cut out of Mr Carters Maltese Cross which cleverly reveals the HUB1300 movement underneath. You may be surprised by the fact that this watch does not have a Hublot logo on the dial, the text between the batons reads ”Shawn Carter by Hublot” to show that this exclusive watch was designed by Shawn Carter himself.

As opposed to the usual 5N red gold used by Hublot this timepiece has a unique feature of 3N yellow gold case and dial as well as movement plating!  This hasn’t been used by Hublot for many years but works extremely well in this case. The 45mm case from the Classico Ultra- Thin is the slimmest design to date.

The wristwatch is powered by Hublot’s HUB1300 calibre, an exclusive movement that was originally conceived as a skeleton, but in this case the movement is left unskeletonized while still retaining the same bridge design and decoration. The ultra-thin manual winding movement measures only 2.90mm thick, and provides an impressive 90 hours of power when fully wound.

The Shawn Carter Classic Fusion collection will make its debut at the Shawn Carter – A New York Holiday – pop-up installation at Barney’s in New York on November 20th.The collection will also be available to purchase in selected Hublot boutiques. The black ceramic model is limited to 250 pieces, while the yellow gold is limited only to 100 examples.
