Jain's passion for watches began when he was 13 and his father gave him a Rolex Datejust as a reward for passing school exams. During a trip to the Indian state of Rajasthan, Jain bought pocket and wrist watches and was introduced to the Maharajas, eventually sourcing watches and jewellery for them. He kept the showroom his father had purchased in Mumbai and opened an antiques store, selling European antiques and collectables, with watches as the main core of his business.
