Antiquorum April Auction Results

The results have been released from the Antiquorum Auction. It featured watches affiliated to celebrities and famous sports men and women. The auction totalled an amazing £2,500,267 approx. Enthusiasts from all over the world joined in the bid, from Hong Kong, America, Switzerland and Italy. The huge star of the show was a rare Patek Philippe wristwatch Ref. 1518 Perpetual Calendar Chronograph in rose gold which sold for £492,160 approx. The watch was made in 1951 with a perpetual calendar, moon-phase, square-button chronograph, and tachymeter, on an 18k rose gold Patek Philippe bracelet.

Also in the auction there was a rare left handed Rolex which was once worn by the infamous Charlie Chaplin which sold for approx. £31,781, which is over four times its high estimate of approx. £7,441. Plus a Bulova Accutron timepiece owned by Joe DiMaggio sold for approx. £12,789, over five times its high estimate!
