Jean-Frederic Dufour Rolex Watches Newly Appointed CEO

Jean-Frederic Dufour was the CEO Zenith watches (constituent of the LVMH group), a position he held successfully since 2009, now making the ultimate jump to being in a top position at Rolex. Knowing one is only as good as the best in one’s circle Mr Dufour has become a known friend of Jean-Claude Biver the former CEO of Hublot, who now has a more senior role guiding the watch brand divisions of LVMH ; zenith tag etc. It is said that Mr. Biver greatly assisted Mr. Dufour at Zenith and that their combined efforts have turned Zenith into a brand which has regained and in many ways exceeded much of its former glory.

Former CEO Gian Riccardo Marini was appointed in 2011 and thus has only been at the helm for approximately three year, which is a relatively short stint. 

Rolex is known for having relatively long-standing CEOs and the stepping down of Gian Riccardo Marini is unique.
